CO-ORGANIZERS: Municipality of Anogia, Region of Crete.

PLAYING SYSTEM: Swiss FIDE 9 (nine) rounds. 3 groups:.

• Group A for players with rating over 2100
• Group B for players with rating lower than 2000
• Group C for players without international rating

(players with rating 2000-2099 are freely selecting in which group to play).

Time Control:  90 min for 40 moves + 30min + 30sec per move from the first move. Players that do not show up for their game after one (1) hour from the official start of a round are be forfeited. 

Participation:

• Group A for players with rating over 2100 (accommodation included):

General Fee: 250€. Fee Without accommodation 130€.

• Group B for players with rating lower than 2000 (accommodation included with priority to Group A):

General Fee: 190€. Without accommodation 70€

Local Players: 30€

• Group C for players without international rating (no accommodation provided):

General Fee: 20€.

This fee does not apply for the following title holders: GM, IM, WGM, WIM.

THE ENTRY FEE INCLUDES ACCOMMODATION FOR 8 NIGHTS (shared triple room with no meal included) but for limited amount of players. The rooms are of pretty good standards with their own WC, AC, wi-fi, fridge and TV. Each room has plenty of space and three separate beds. Players not staying in the accommodation provided by organizers deserve discount to the corresponding entry fee.

The minimum cost for each room is 360€ for 8 nights i.e. including accompanying persons or family rooms.

TIE BREAKS: Following tiebreaks: 1) Results between the opponents, 2) Buchholz cut-1, 3) Bucholtz, 4)Number of victories, 5)Sonnenborn-Berger. In case of tie the money prizes are split equally. The player that claims more than one award is receiving ONLY the biggest.
